A Collection of Late Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani's Works Consisting of 100 Volumes to Be Published

Ayatollah Sheikh Jawad Fazel Lankarani, son of late Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani reported that a collection of the works of Grand Ayatollah consisting of one hundred volumes will be prepared and published soon.

According to Shabistan News Agency, speaking on the eve of his father's death anniversary, the grand Ayatollah's son told reporters that the preparation work of the scientific collection is underway and it is being readied for publication.

Referring to the scientific aspects of his great father, Sheikh Jawad Fazel Lankarani said, "The scientific aspects of this great personality in the area of jurisprudence, legal theories, commentary of the Quran and theological matters are very much known to all."

"Late Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani became a Mujtahid at 25. One of the features particular to him was dynamism in jurisprudence and his perfect understanding the circumstances," he added.

He further said, "He was a Mujtahid who in practice made things easy for people. When he was supposed to choose between an easy and a difficult path, he would choose the easy path and it was his routine methodology." 

"Late Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani had a complete and comprehensive command over all jurisprudential foundations, and at present also, many of the seminary teachers and lecturers are considered to be his students. Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani taught the seminary classes for over fifty years and he authored the biggest number of works on the subject of jurisprudence," he added.

Ayatollah Jawad Fazel Lankarani further stressed that his father's works are being prepared in the form of a comprehensive encyclopedia which includes one hundred books of which one third is ready.

He announced that one of late Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani's works consisting of 6 volumes will be uncovered on 7^th may 2010 during the Int'l book fair in Tehran.

He also said, "Late Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani was living a very simple and pious life. All throughout his life, he did not have a house of his own whereas he was giving more than fifteen billion rials as monthly assistance to religious students and 300 religious seminaries all over the country."

He further said that late Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani stressed on the importance of unity between Shiites and Sunnis and believed that it was necessary for safeguarding the common interests of Muslims.

He said that the first manual of Islamic laws for adolescents belonged to him which was printed and published in two million copies in his lifetime.
