Imam Sadiq (as) said, “This blessed month, in which you revealed the Qur'an and made it a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion, has arrived.”
The most important feature of this month is that “The Quran was revealed in it.” Whoever spends more time with the Quran benefits more in this banquet and whoever is far from the Quran will not enjoy it.
Then the Imam (as) says, “Thus, keep us safe in it.”, that is, keep us safe in Ramadhan and grant us health.
The Imam (as) continues saying, “Keep it safe for us.” i.e. (help us) not do anything which will ruin this month (but help us) keep the month safe.
Then the Imam (as) says, “Take it safe from us in ease from you and health.”
Therefore, let’s beseech God to keep us safe in this month and (also) keep the moth safe for us. We should also entreat Him to help us return this month safe to Him.
Who returns the month safe to God? He who, at every moment, feels that he/she is becoming more enlightened. I will explain the details later on.
Then the Imam (as) says, “O God! I beseech you to put a way for me to every good.” The way to all good is the month of Ramadhan. No other month has this capacity. No other month has ever the ability to get human to all good except for the month of Ramadhan.
