The West Is Afraid of Quran's Mahdaviyat Teachings' says Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani(19 Dey Newspaper)

News Group: Chief Director and head of Markaz Fiqhi Aemma-e Athar (the Jurisprudence Center of Pure Imams) speaking about Mahdism said that Mahdism is the main problem facing Global Arrogance. He said, "The reason why the enemies are insulting the Quran is because they are afraid of something called Mahdism (messianism). They are afraid lest the Quran's promise be fulfilled."

During a visit to The Specialized Mahdaviyat Center of the Islamic Seminary of Qom, Ayatollah Muhammad Jawad Fazel Lankarani said, "Generally the odor of Mahdism is felt in the Islamic seminary of Qom and there is no doubt that the Islamic seminary is the base for the Imam of Age (atf).  If a person is studying in the Islamic seminary and his efforts do not relate to the Imam of Age, no matter what his field of education, his efforts would be valueless."

Head of the Jurisprudence Center of Pure Imam (a.s.) said that desecration of the Quran has a ten years background. "The enemies are conducting specialized researches on Shia and we can say that the first Shiatology center has been established in Israel," he said.

He further added that one of the subjects studied most is Mahdism. "Those who are working out plans for the coming 500 years see that one of the things which challenge their plans is the subject related to messianism (Mahdaviyat).

Head of the Jurisprudence Center of Pure Imam (a.s.) said that Madaviyat Specialized Center has been active for the past few years. "This Center started its activities with the cooperation of veterans and the people in charge of the Islamic Seminary of Qom. Definitely, there was a great need for such a center in the seminary."

Speaking about the verses relating to Mahdism, Fazel Lankarani said, "There are many verses referring to the Imam of Age. These verses contain a lot of points which have not been discussed as of now. Those scholars who are working in the field of Mahdism must be capable of understanding the verses so that they may help others (those who do not rely on narrations) understand Mahdism. There are many a number of issues for research on Mahdism which need to be dealt with and discovered. Indeed, some researches have been conducted in these areas but they are shallow and superficial.

Fazel Lankarani stressed that stronger and more capable individuals should enter the arena and engage in researches. "Scholars who have acquired a good command over the juristic rules, traditions and their chains of transmission should enter this arena," he said.

Head of the Jurisprudence Center of Pure Imam (a.s.) stated that those who enter this arena should have acquired the basics of jurisprudence (ijtehad) because it is not possible for every religious student to engage in messianic researches.
